Restoration of an iconic Palm Springs Alexander home, bringing back the clarity of Krisel’s original vision after a heavy-handed 90s remodel. We tracked down the original blueprints to guide the design, restoring the home’s intended openness and light while adding thoughtful updates: a new front wall and gate, an offset entry walkway, and unpainted plywood kitchen cabinetry that nods to the original material palette. We designed and built custom beds and “clesks” (closet/desks) to blend seamlessly with the space, combining midcentury warmth with practical livability.
